Abstract:
INTRODUCTION
This is a study about the
care given to a 11year old male who is known as Mr Justice Ennin. My
interaction with the client began on the 3rd of November 2020, the day he was
admitted to the Pediatric Ward of the Mary Lucy Hospital, Awoshie with the
diagnosis of Acute Gastritis. He was chosen for this study because of the
interest I have in the condition. His admission lasted for four days; from 3rd
to 6th November 2020. He was fully conscious but afebrile, vomiting and
in severe abdominal (epigastric) pain on admission. Good interpersonal
relationship was built between the client and family and a comprehensive
nursing care plan was drawn to help meet the health problems of the client. His
condition improved gradually with time as he received the needed treatment and
care required for his recovery. He was discharged with stable vital signs and
without any complications.
